AquaDrop — Terms & Conditions
Last updated: July 31, 2026
Welcome to AquaDrop. These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the AquaDrop drinking-water and water-services marketplace, available through our website and Android/iOS apps (the "Service"). AquaDrop is operated by an Udyam-registered proprietorship (Udyam Reg. No. UDYAM-AP-17-0082345), Andhra Pradesh, India. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
Because AquaDrop handles drinking water and sends people to each other's doorsteps, sections 5 to 11 set out safety rules. They are part of these Terms, not advice — breaking them can cost you access to the Service.
1. Eligibility & accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
- You are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your registered mobile number secure.
- You agree to provide accurate information, including a correct delivery address and location.
- One person, one account. Accounts may not be shared, sold, rented or transferred — a delivery partner account in particular must be used only by the person who passed verification on it.
2. Roles on the platform
- Customers order drinking water and water services from independent suppliers.
- Suppliers list and fulfil orders. Suppliers must be approved by AquaDrop and provide valid identity/business documents.
- Delivery Partners pick up and deliver orders. They must complete identity verification before working.
3. Orders, pricing & payments
- Prices, delivery fees, deposits and taxes are shown before you confirm an order.
- Payments are processed by our payment partner (Razorpay). Cash on Delivery may be available for eligible orders.
- AquaDrop is a marketplace; the supplier is responsible for the quality and fulfilment of the water and services ordered.
4. Cancellations & refunds
Orders may be cancelled before dispatch as described in the app. Eligible refunds are credited to your original payment method or AquaDrop wallet. Deposits for cans are refundable on return of the can.
5. Water quality & product safety
Water is a consumable. These rules exist so that what reaches a customer is safe to drink.
- Suppliers must supply water that is fit for human consumption and that meets applicable Indian drinking-water and food-safety standards, including the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006 and the rules and regulations made under it, and must hold and keep current every licence, registration or approval those laws require for their operation.
- Suppliers must keep their purification, storage and filling equipment maintained and sanitary, and must not fill, sell or dispatch water from a source or a plant that they know or suspect to be contaminated.
- Every can or bottle must be dispatched clean, properly sealed and, where required by law, labelled — including any batch, packing-date or expiry information the law requires.
- Suppliers must keep whatever water-testing records their licence requires and produce them to AquaDrop or to a regulator on request.
- Customers should check the seal before accepting a delivery. Do not consume water from a can whose seal is broken, damaged or missing, or whose contents look, smell or taste wrong. Refuse the delivery and report it in the app instead.
- Report any suspected contamination, illness or quality problem to us immediately through Help & Support in the app. We may suspend a supplier's listings while a quality report is being looked into.
If water made someone unwell: seek medical help first — your doctor, or the national emergency number 112 — and report it to us afterwards.
6. Containers, hygiene & deposits
- Reusable cans remain the property of the supplier or of AquaDrop. The deposit you pay secures the can's return; it is refunded to your wallet when the can comes back in usable condition.
- Do not use AquaDrop cans to store or carry anything other than drinking water. A can returned with chemicals, fuel, paint or any other non-food substance in it is a safety hazard for the next customer: it will be taken out of service, the deposit may be withheld, and the account may be suspended.
- Suppliers must inspect, clean and sanitize every returned can before refilling it, and must permanently retire cans that are cracked, deformed, or that carry an odour or residue which cleaning does not remove.
- Keep cans out of direct sunlight and away from heat, and keep the mouth of the can and the dispenser clean.
7. Delivery safety — delivery partners
If you deliver on AquaDrop, you accept the following as conditions of using the app. You are an independent contractor, and you remain personally responsible for how you ride or drive.
- Licence and vehicle. Hold a valid driving licence covering the vehicle you deliver with, keep the vehicle roadworthy, and keep valid insurance and registration where the law requires them.
- Never under the influence. Do not ride or drive for AquaDrop while under the influence of alcohol, drugs or any medication that impairs you. This is a zero-tolerance rule and results in immediate removal from the platform.
- Obey road law. Wear a helmet on a two-wheeler, follow speed limits and traffic signals, and carry loads only within the safe and legal capacity of your vehicle. Water is heavy — do not overload.
- Do not use the app while moving. Stop the vehicle before accepting an order, reading a map, taking a photo or marking a delivery. No notification from AquaDrop is worth an accident, and no delivery-time figure we show you overrides this rule.
- Fatigue. Do not work while too tired to ride or drive safely. You choose your own hours and may go offline at any time.
- Handovers. Deliver to the address given. Do not enter a customer's home unless they invite you to place the can inside, and stop at any point you feel unsafe.
- Refuse unsafe work. You may decline or abandon any delivery that you reasonably believe is unsafe — flooding, unsafe premises, aggressive people or animals, an unlit or unreachable location. Report it in the app. Declining a delivery on genuine safety grounds will not by itself be held against your standing on the platform.
- Weather and conditions. Do not ride through conditions you judge unsafe. Your judgement on the road overrides any delivery window shown in the app.
8. Safety at your doorstep — customers
- Never share your OTP. AquaDrop staff will never ask you for a login OTP, your password, your UPI PIN or your card details. On an exchange order you will be given a 4-digit collection code: read it out only when the delivery partner is actually there to collect your empty can. You will never be asked for a code to receive your water.
- Check that the person delivering matches the name and vehicle shown in the app before handing over cash or an OTP.
- Treat delivery partners and supplier staff with respect. They are people doing a job in traffic and weather.
- Make the delivery point reachable and safe — working lights, no loose dogs, a route free of obvious hazards. If your building has access rules, put them in the delivery instructions.
- Do not ask a delivery partner to do anything unsafe or unlawful: no extra unpaid errands, no carrying loads beyond what was ordered, no rushing.
- If someone contacts you claiming to be from AquaDrop and asks for money, credentials or remote access to your phone, it is a fraud attempt. Do not comply, and report it through Help & Support.
9. Supplier safety & compliance obligations
- Operate only from premises you are entitled to use, and hold the trade, food-safety and environmental permissions your operation requires.
- Ensure anyone you send out to deliver on your behalf is registered on AquaDrop as a delivery partner and has passed verification. Do not let a verified account be used by someone else.
- Do not engage anyone under 18 in fulfilling AquaDrop orders.
- Provide your staff and partners with safe equipment and safe loading practice, and tell us promptly about any incident, contamination event, recall or regulatory action that affects orders placed through AquaDrop.
10. Zero tolerance: harassment, abuse & discrimination
Everyone on AquaDrop — customer, supplier, delivery partner and staff — has the right to be safe. The following will lead to immediate suspension and, where appropriate, a report to the police:
- Violence, or threats of violence, against any person.
- Sexual harassment, unwanted advances, stalking, or misuse of another person's phone number, photo or address obtained through the Service.
- Discrimination or abuse based on caste, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, region, language or any other protected characteristic.
- Threatening, intimidating or retaliating against someone for refusing an unsafe request or for making a safety report.
Contact details shared for a delivery may be used only to complete that delivery. Using them for any other purpose is a breach of these Terms.
11. Reporting incidents & emergencies
In an emergency, call the emergency services first — 112 in India (or 100 police, 108 ambulance). Report to AquaDrop afterwards. We are not an emergency service and cannot dispatch help.
- Report accidents, injuries, unsafe conduct, water-quality problems and fraud through Help & Support in the app, or by email to asheeshanuroop@gmail.com.
- Tell us as soon as you reasonably can, and keep any evidence — photos, the can, the order number.
- We may contact you, the other people involved, the supplier, or the authorities to look into a report, and may suspend an account or a listing while we do.
- We do not tolerate retaliation against anyone who makes a safety report in good faith.
12. Acceptable use
- Do not misuse the Service, submit false information, or attempt to defraud suppliers, delivery partners, or AquaDrop.
- Do not use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe are fraudulent.
13. Identity verification (suppliers & delivery partners)
Suppliers consent to providing a government identity document for verification. Delivery partners must provide a valid driving licence, and confirm that it is current and covers the vehicle they deliver with. Delivery partners must also complete a short live facial capture in the app, so that an administrator can confirm by hand that the person holding the account is the person on the licence; this is reviewed by a person, and how the capture is handled and retained is described in our Privacy Policy. Until both the licence and the facial capture are approved, a delivery partner cannot go online or accept orders. AquaDrop may request re-verification, or place an account on hold, at its discretion to maintain trust and safety on the platform.
14. Suspension for safety reasons
We may suspend or restrict an account immediately, without prior notice, where we reasonably believe it is necessary to protect someone's safety or health — for example a credible water-quality complaint, a report of impaired or dangerous driving, an allegation of violence or harassment, or a licence that has lapsed. Where we can, we will tell you why and give you a way to respond; suspensions imposed on safety grounds are reviewed once the concern has been assessed. Nothing in this section limits any other right we have to suspend an account under section 12.
15. Account deletion
You may delete your account at any time from the app (Profile → Delete my account) or by following our account deletion instructions. Anonymized transaction records may be retained as required by law.
16. Limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is." AquaDrop is a marketplace that connects customers with independent suppliers and independent delivery partners; it does not produce, purify, bottle or transport water itself, and those independent parties are responsible for their own compliance, conduct and vehicles. To the maximum extent permitted by law, AquaDrop is not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the value of the order giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under Indian law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our own negligence, or for fraud.
17. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
18. Sellers, licences and product information
Every store on AquaDrop sells its own water. Each store's page shows the seller's legal name, business address, GSTIN (if registered) and FSSAI licence or registration number. Packaged water (bottles) is listed only by sellers with an FSSAI licence, and its page shows the brand, the manufacturer's name and address, net quantity, MRP (inclusive of all taxes), country of origin and the manufacturer's customer-care contact, as printed on the label. No product is sold above its MRP.
19. Grievance officer
In line with the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, complaints are handled by our grievance officer, who will acknowledge your complaint within 48 hours and resolve it within one month:
